Itty Bitties

Twinkle Toes

Toddler Dance Class FAQs
We welcome children as young as 18 months in our Tutu 2's program. At this age, classes are completely play-based and age-appropriate. There's truly no such thing as starting too early — young children absorb movement and music naturally.
For Tutu 2's (18 months – 2 years), a parent or caregiver accompanies the child in class. For Itty Bitties (ages 2–3), we typically have parents wait outside so the children can focus. We'll guide you through the transition — it's very smooth and the kids adjust quickly!
Completely normal — and our teachers are experts at helping little ones settle in. Most children who cry at drop-off are happily dancing within a few minutes. We recommend a free trial week so your child has time to warm up to the environment naturally.
For the trial week, any comfortable clothing works. Enrolled students in Tutu 2's and Itty Bitties wear a leotard with or without a tutu skirt, and pink ballet shoes. Tap shoes are added for Itty Bitties and Twinkle Toes. See our dress code page for full details.
